Rights of Way - FP14

The DM&S describes FP 14 as:

"from Woolstone Farm, West-South-West to Hardwell Lane (Compton Beauchamp BY12)"

General Condition Fair to poor - the path has a few short sections where the mud can become almost impassable in wet conditions.
Length 0.25 miles
Navigation Problems None
Stiles, gates or other obstacles 2 stiles. There is also a gate in the middle of the path, but this is normally kept open.

The path starts from the corner of Marsh Way at the western end of the village by Upper Farm (formerly known as Woolstone Farm). The start of the path is well signed, and is marked by a stile.

The footpath continues across the stile and follows the edge of the field with the hedge on the left. At the end of the first field is gateway into a second field - the gateway is normally open. A second stile is encountered at the end of the second field, and the parish boundary with Compton Beauchamp.

Crossing the second stile the path joins the byway known as Hardwell Lane.

Some sections of FP 14, especially those around the gateway and the stile by Hardwell Lane can be very muddy and difficult to navigate. These sections are not easy to avoid. FP 15 is an alternative footpath which is generally much less muddy, although there are more stiles to cross on that path.
